ABOUT US

Our Journey

Anglo-Oregon Brewing Company (AOBC) is a small craft brewery located on the southern edge of Newport on the Gwent Levels and have been producing traditional bottle-conditioned ales and stouts commercially since 2015.

Dr Toby Jones, one of the founders of the brewery, is also the curator of the Newport Ship Project which is a fifteenth century merchant vessel unearthed in the heart of Newport in 2002.

Brewing began in 2015 and a passion quickly developed for making strong, dark stouts and tasty, hoppy ales. The brewery currently produces a Smoked Porter, Stouts and India Pale Ales. These beers are carried at a growing number of locations around Newport. What are you waiting for? Grab your beer today!

KRISTIAN HANBURY

General

Kristian also works for the City of Newport within the Public Protection arena. With an Armed Forces background, Kristian isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty, and if that means testing the newly created beers, well, someone has to do it! A thrill seeker and optimist by nature, he is excited about bringing AOBC to the masses.
