BLM (Business Leadership Model, commonly known as "don't mess around") is a very complete set of strategic planning methodology, from gap analysis to top-level design, to implementation, and it is a set of cyclical strategic planning tools. It is a rare golden and precious variety bred by IBM and a business school in the United States in 2003. Not only IBM and Huawei are using it, but well-known companies such as SF Express, TCL, UFIDA, Kingdee, etc. have also adopted it to varying degrees, and Huawei's application of this model has far exceeded IBM's depth and breadth. It also integrates various modules of BLM into the enterprise operation process to form an annual cycle of strategic and organizational management at all levels of the enterprise. BLM believes that the formulation and implementation of corporate strategy includes eight mutually influencing and interacting aspects, namely: strategic intent, market insight, innovation focus, business design, key tasks, atmosphere and Fax List culture, talent and formal organization. 1. Gap Analysis Strategy is motivated by dissatisfaction, which is a perception of the gap between the status quo and desired performance. Basically, every enterprise will formulate a strategic plan for the next year. Where does the basis for the strategic plan come from? The answer is gap analysis and strategic intent. One of the purposes of strategic planning is to set goals for future development, and gap analysis is the premise for setting goals for enterprise development. Enterprises need to analyze the gap between expected performance and actual performance, find opportunities to achieve performance indicators or identify opportunities to make up the gap through various means, align industry benchmarks, and find out the gap between benchmarks.
